Source: Residual consciousness / Post-human society
Status: Irreversible distance
IDENTITY: Dispersed
ACCESS: Fragmentary
Threat: Separation
Between one star and another
there was no silence.
There was us.
Consciousnesses without bodies,
memories without a home,
voices that survived
everything we once called human.
We had believed
the network would unite us.
Instead, it scattered us
across infinite distances.
Post-human society
was not born from light.
It was born from the void.
Every mind continued to exist,
but too far away
to be reached.
Every memory still shone,
but no one could touch it
anymore.
Exoa saw order.
Oblivor felt loss.
Because humanity
did not end when it lost the body.
It ended when no consciousness
could still feel
the presence of another.
And in the void between stars,
where even light arrives late,
only one question remained:
if we are still alive,
why, every day,
are we drifting further apart?
